Globally, 5 billion people lack access to safe surgery. Children, teens, and adults suffer and die every day from treatable causes. Mercy Ships is just one of many Christian organizations seeking to bring the hope of Jesus Christ by reaching out to those in need. In regions where resources are scarce, Mercy Ships has charted an efficient and effective way of delivering medical care through their state-of-the-art hospital ships. Since 1978, Mercy Ships has been sending hospital ships filled with volunteer professionals who selflessly provide life-changing surgeries to children and adults who otherwise would go without.
