The Deacons serve with the Pastoral staff to maintain the spiritual welfare of the Church. The Deacons will minister to individuals or families in the congregation who are experiencing a crisis or a time of special need in their lives. The deacons will serve with the pastoral staff to provide counsel and guidance to those who are in serious violation of the Membership Covenant or whose lives threaten to bring discredit to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ or upon the witness of the Church.

Should some serious condition exist which would cause a member to become a liability to the general welfare of the church, every reasonable measure will be taken by the Senior Pastor and Deacons to resolve the problem. All such proceedings shall be pervaded by the spirit of Christian love and humility, seeking first for the redemption and restoration of the offender. If the welfare or testimony of the church is in jeopardy, the Senior Pastor and Deacons will recommend to the Leadership Team that the offender's membership be either inactivated or terminated.

Deacons must be adults who are Active Members of the Church in good standing and must meet the qualifications set forth in Acts 6:1-8 and 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

Deacons will be recommended by the Senior Pastor and the Leadership Team and approved by a vote of the church.
